A few weeks ago I came across Buzzfeed’s “22 Of The Coolest Places To Get Married in America“. I quickly scrolled through the pictures, in the hopes of seeing a local venue, but there were none to be found. However, when looking through the list I was reminded of some great venues in our own backyard…

1. The Indianapolis Artsgarden (IN) / Ronald Reagan Building (DC)

2. Stryker Sonoma Winery (CA) / Keswick Vineyards (VA)

WEE

3. The Franklin Park Conservatory (OH) / Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center (MD)

4. The Distillery District (Toronto, Canada) / Longview Gallery (DC)

I must admit that I have a BIG crush on Italy and after attending my friend’s gorgeous wedding in Florence, my love undoubtedly deepened. It was exactly one year ago today (happy anniversary Katie + Filippo) that we were enjoying la dolce vita!

All aspects of the wedding were stunning, but the gelato cart was definitely the cherry on top! Imagine my excitement when I learned that Dolci Gelati not only caters, but you can even customize your own flavors! Seems like a delicious way of bringing some Italian flare to your next event.

happy feet

Ever since I had to run next door to the GAP, to buy a new pair of shoes (because the ones I had on were making my feet cry), I haven’t been able to stop thinking about polka dots. Something about them just makes me smile. They feel so fun and festive. Apparently, the prefix of “polka” was given to all sorts of items during the 1800’s due to the popularity of the polka dance (ie: polka curtain-band, polka hat, polka-gauze)!
